I’m Rowan, the founder of Making Love with God, and in my capacity as a psychosexual coach, I take pleasure in empowering my clients to:

  • Clarify and communicate their boundaries, their needs, and their desires
  • Develop strategies for radical self-acceptance and ethical self-care
  • Discover new possibilities for intimacy and sex, and navigate different stages of love and life in creative and pleasure-giving ways
  • Address questions around identity, and find safe and fulfilling ways to embody and express themselves
  • And to reconnect – to their own sexual and creative energy, to partners and loved ones, and, if they so wish, to an experience of unconditional (and sex-positive!) divine love

My work takes the form of talk therapy, and uses breath, visualisation, and embodiment techniques to promote integration, pleasure expansion, and peace. I bring warmth, humour, and presence to my sessions, and my unique coaching style is influenced by a decade of experience in conscious sexuality, spiritual counselling, and the gifts of the breath.

My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, non-monogamy and kink-friendly, and grounded in an awareness of intersectional oppression, and of the struggles inherent in living in a capitalist society.

Coaching sessions are conducted online via Zoom. I operate on a busy schedule, and coach a limited number of people at a time, so I encourage you to begin the booking process now if you think I might be the practitioner for you.

Each session starts with breathing together, which I experience as an excellent way to get in touch with my feelings and really be there during the session. Rowan first helped me through the process of grieving the end of a relationship. I found their advice on rituals, and on how to integrate rituals in my life, very applicable. Starting in parallel, and continuing after I was done grieving, they helped me explore what my own contributions to the chaos and unhappiness had been and in what ways it was linked to experiences I had had as a child and teenager. During the whole process, I felt deeply and profoundly welcome. Rowan invited me to look at parts of myself that other parts of me felt ashamed of, and did not wish to exist, and treat those parts with kindness and understanding, and listen to them. I feel that throughout the coaching, I became better able to connect to my grief, and my anger, and my shame, because Rowan held the space between us and I felt that it was okay to have these feelings. Learning to acknowledge those feelings, and trying to give them room when needed, has also deepened my connection to the rest of my feelings - my joy, my curiosity, my inner child.
